Gameranger Game Crashes on Launch
-----------------------------------------------
Due to the lack of support on the Gameranger website, and lack of any search engine results, I wanted to write this short article in hopes that it would help someone that had the same problem as me.
My game would work perfectly outside of Gameranger, but when launched through gameranger it would crash. The game would open up to a black screen (Which would usually be followed by a brief "loading" in Rainbow Six: Vegas) and then I would get a program not responding message and the screen would turn white.
It turned out that the problem was the video settings in the game, which I had changed earlier. If gameranger causes your game to crash, try going into the game and changing all of the settings back to default. Any launch settings, video settings, resolution settings. You can keep your keybind settings, changing those won't help.
After changing the resultion back to default the game launched with gameranger without crashing.
Other things to try if your game won't work in game ranger:
-Change all game settings back to default (as suggested above)
-Moving game to program files, then adding the .exe file to gameranger again (only with movable packaged games)
-Have a friend host the game instead with the same version of the game, then have him launch
-Reinstall Gameranger (This can really work)
-Desktop/Applications folder
